magnifying glass on book"Murder in the OldTown Jazz Club," a fun detective game, is afoot in Moore. Everyone is eligible to solve the murder mystery and win terrific prizes.

Detective packets filled with details about the crime, clues, and entry tickets will be available from April 5 through April 16. The packets are at the Moore Public Library or the OldTown Merchants. The participating merchants will have a poster displayed, and packets available inside the business.

The Grand Prize for solving the mystery is a $500 dollar shopping spree in OldTown. All correct answers will be put into a drawing to select winner.

A Grand Finale Party, "Jazz Night Re-Grand-Opening," is planned for Friday April 16 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Old School Auditorium on East Broadway in Moore. The murderer will be revealed and prizes awarded.  Artwork by a local artist, Kenny Richardson, depicting the hard-boiled detective novel genre and 1930's era will be on display.

The Jazz Night Finale serves a dual purpose for the Moore Public Library: all the volunteers, whose efforts, loyalty, and support will be honored with live Jazz Music and hors d’oeuvres. For more information, call Tera McAmis at the Moore Library 793-4349.

"Murder in the OldTown Jazz Club" and the "Jazz Night Re-Grand-Opening Party" are sponsored by the City of Moore, Old Town Merchants Association, Old School Business Center, Pioneer Library System and the Moore Public Library, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
