Warren Movie Theater The Big Read 2010 Finale will be held at the luxurious Warren Theater in Moore on April 22.  Guests are encouraged to dress in 1930's styles for this fun evening and great classic film.

The activities start at 6 pm with a video of Big Read 2010 events and recognition of winners from each hometown library who received a falcon statue hand cast and hand painted by artist Jeff Littlejohn.  The drawing for a large 18” bronze peregrine falcon perched on a stack of three books to be displayed in a hometown library will also take place.

At 7 pm, the main event commences as the 1941 version of "The Maltese Falcon," starring Humphrey Bogart, is shown on the big screen.  This film adaptation is one of the best, with its scene-by-scene breakdown of the novel.  It received three Academy Award nominations: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Sydney Greenstreet), and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film is appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Tickets can be picked up at all hometown libraries beginning April 12. Please return any extra tickets to the library before April 22, so others may use them. Patrons without tickets may come and wait for available seats. At 7 pm, all unoccupied seats will be given to those waiting on a first come basis. There are are no guarantees that those without tickets will get a seat.
